With lots of practical examples and hands on experiences, these training days will make you feel more confident about teaching art in the primary classroom.

There will be a whole host of ideas that you can use as soon as you get back to your school, and a chance to explore and reflect on why ART has such an important place in the primary classroom.  


Printing in the Primary School

How to make a printing exercise both creative and structured in the Primary classroom. We will look at several different examples of different printing techniques.

Art through the National Curriculum, the National Curriculum through Art

All teachers know that Art is a vital part of a child's development and is essential in the curriculum. However, with all the constrains that the National Curriculum puts on a teacher how can we find time to make it relevant ... and fun?

Monday February 10th - Whole day session

10.00- 3.00 - £50 per person


Using famous art as a starting point for educational activities

How can the Primary teacher introduce well known pieces of art into the classroom and use them for both art based activities ... and other subjects!?

Thursday March 12th - evening session 

6.00 - 8.00 - £20 per person


Why is Drawing Important in the Primary School 

Very often children loose the desire to draw, or they get obsessed with copying styles such as cartoons. How do we encourage children to develop their drawing, and how can this help them as learners throughout the curriculum?

Monday May 18th - Whole day session 

10.00 - 3.00 - £50 per person


Painting with the Primary School Age 

In this session we will look at how to make painting a viable and practical activity for the primary class room. Lots of top tips that you can apply to classes straight way.

Tuesday June 9th - Twilight session 

4.30 - 6.30 - £20 per person


Planning a Better Art Curriculum

An opportunity for teachers to explore ways of broadening the art experiences in their schools and to teach in a more focused and structured way, with out compromising on creativity. Would suit subject coordinators and classroom teachers.

Thursday July 2nd - evening session 

6.00 - 8.00 - £20 per person
